I am always looking for new ways to save energy in the kitchen, and this skillet is another way to do that!
You may wonder how a skillet classifies as something green. It's ceramic based, no petroleum was used in its creation, and its non-stick cooking surface does not contain Teflon. I know some people have written and commented about how bad PTFE is, and I wanted to find an alternative for you. This is it!
To test the pan, I fried eggs in olive oil. I did both a naked test with two eggs, and then I sprayed my organic Pam cooking spray for the next two eggs. Truthfully, neither one of them stuck, but, the cooking spray batch allowed the eggs to break free without touching them, while the naked batch needed a little prodding with a spatula.
Because I'm old fashioned, I would still give the pan a shot with my organic cooking spray, but with that said, it really doesn't need it. This Cuisinart skillet is good stuff!
